What Causes Fever After A C-section?

I had c section 6 months back and my insicion scar healed within a weak but after a month i had a pimple on my scar containing pus. Within 2 days the pimple bursted but the wound is not healing. Its closes and opens up again 2 days. My gynoc has treated me with strong dose of anitbiotics and also she stiched the part of wound which is nearly 1 cm but still wound is healing. I do not other symptoms like fever or bleeding. Why is the wound on scar not healing completely?

Hi there,

The most common cause is that there's a stitch deep down inside. You have what is called a stitch abscess. Your OB-GYN may not be familiar with this and may not know how to treat it. I'd see a general surgeon and ask him about this wound and about getting the stitch out. It can be done in the office and will likely solve your problems with this wound.

I hope I have answered your question. Please feel free to contact me if you have any further questions.
