General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, thank you for posting.

I have gone through your query and I understand your concerns.

Symptoms that you are experiencing are suggestive of gastritis. Gastritis is the inflammation of mucous of stomach. It is manifested hyper acidity, cramps, nausea and vomiting.
To my patients I recommend:
1. Eating 5 meals a day(small portions).
2. Eliminating spicy foods, coffee, milk, alcoholic drinks and carbonated drinks from your diet.
3. Quit smoking cigarettes(if you do smoke), because smoking causes hyper acidity.
4. Taking proton pump inhibitors medicines such as Omeprazole.

To confirm the diagnosis abdominal ultrasound and fibrogastroendoscopy are necessary.
In some cases liver function test is also necessary.

Consult your gastroenterologist to discuss about the treatment.

I hope I answered your query.

Take Care.
Dr. Behar.
