What Causes Feeling Of Bump On Right Side Of Throat?

I ve had a weird feeling in my throat for the last few days. I have smoked marijuana almost every day for the last 5 years, taking periodic month long breaks. The feeling I m getting isn t painful, it feels like a small bump or something on the right side of my throat, around where my adamsapple is. I can see a bit of inflamation on the back right side of my throat also. Thank you, Peter

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms could be related to a local inflammatory lymph node or a local infection. For this reason, I recommend consulting with your attending physician for a physical exam and an ultrasound of the soft tissues in the neck. Some blood lab tests (complete blood count, PCR, ESR) are necessary too.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
