What Causes Fecal Incontinence After A Colostomy Reversal?
My mom had a colostomy reversal 2 weeks ago, and she is still incontinent with her BMs. She had the colostomy for almost 3 months following diverticulitis that perforated her bowel. How long can we expect her to be unable to feel or operate her a.sphincter? When should we worry?

to normal within 3-4 weeks of surgery of colostomy reversal. Beyond that period, if faecal incontinence persists, an evaluation with colonoscopy is mandatory.
