What Causes Fatigue, Light Sensitivity, Constant Nausea And Bruises Throughout The Body?

Hi, my Daughter was diagnosed with Lyme disease about 5 years ago. Since then she has had numerous bouts of illnesses over long periads of time. Most of them seem to be linked to Lyme disease. Tests have shown that her red blood cells seem to be larger than normal. The symptoms include fatigue sensitivity to light, Constant nausea and throwing up, and the most recent one is large patches of bruises all over her body. I have read that Lyme disease has many co-infectious diseases that may go along with it. We have been to many Dr.s in our area, each one sending her to the next without any real help. The latest large bruise has a hard lump in the center of it. What can we do to get her the help she needs???

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms are indicative that your daughter has not been properly treated for Lyme disease. These are late signs of Lyme disease.

After 25-30 days of infection throwing up, neurological symptoms, headache, problems with memory, fatigue, rashes in the different arts of the body that look like bruise occur.

You are suggested to get your daughter physically examined, investigated(with the help of blood work out, Urinalysis, stool test, Elisa & western blot test) evaluated & treated.

Treatment will depend upon the severity of the pathology detected. She will be treated with oral Or intravenous antibiotics. The lump will be examined if needed biopsy will be done.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Nupur K, General & Family Physician
