What Causes Fatigue And Sudden Development Of Uneven Eyes In A Heart Attack Survivor?

Its been over a week since I suffered a heart attack riding a train Amtrak,,,I had one 15 years ago & quit smoking cold turkey & haven't felt anything similar until now...Resting as I was then,,,Is it to late for Dr's to tell & if not what tests would diagnose any issues...Yes, I should have got off next stop and went to an ER...but didn't ..I'm 61 & was heading north to visit my 80 yr old Mother whos not well either... Prior to quitting I had smoked for 30 years...My family is full of strokes & heart attacks...My brother had a stroke, disabled at 58, Grandmother died stroke.Mother many TIA'a...1st cousin died 68 after 4th heart attack...I've had a few TIA's myself, in fact 2 months ago I was in ER with whole left side drooping & Cat Scan showed nothing but didn't follow thru...My left eye does look smaller then right & feel quite fatigued...Any advice???

ANSWER: Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Every heart attack causes a drop in the strength of the heart .due to sudden reduction of blood flowing from heart . Body organs including brain get reduced blood supply leading to fatigue . As far as you are concerned ,you need to have coronary angiography , carotid doppler , blood tests (lipids) . You will need to follow your doctors advise (who will )after assessing these reports.

Hope I have answered your query.
