What Causes Fatigue And Excessive Sleepiness?
My dad is 74 years old. Though he is obese (a huge tummy!) He is otherwise healthy with DM and HTN under control (with medication). He had a malarial episode couple of months before and the last test was absolutely normal. He is however feeling very weak and not able to manage the business for the last couple of weeks. He feels very sleepy and sleeps almost the whole day through, which is very uncommon for him. What could be the reason and is there any medication to boost him up? Can you suggest a good doctor in Mumbai?

Hi,in my opinion the cause of the symptoms can be hypothyroidism.The check up of thyroid hormons levels:TSH, freeT3, free T4 can diagnose the normal or subnormal function of thyroid gland.After the diagnose is determined ,the treatement will controle the symptons.Hope i have anwered to your questions.
