HI. My doctor recently put me on 3 diff blood pressure meds and at times I am very tired and light headed. Meds are losartan potassium 100 mg. ,bystolic10 mg and amlodipine besylate 5 mg. I take two in a.m. At same time and 10 mg bystolic med at night. Am I taking too much ? And if so which should I reduce first. My heart rate is below 70

Hi there,

If you're feeling light headed and tired all the time, then I'd agree your blood pressure medications are too high. I'd probably cut out the amlodipine altogether and see if that helps. If you still have problems and your heart rate is still below 70, you can take 5mg of systolic instead of 10. I'd follow up with the person who described all your medications. I'd also recommend getting a blood pressure cuff and actually checking your blood pressures and writing them down during the day. Keep a journal and let your doctor see it, so he can make adjustments based on this.

I hope this answers your questions. Please feel free to contact me should you have any further questions.
