What Causes Fatigue And Burning Pain In The Breast?

Good Morning, Please tell me what to do after reading so many articles on Vitamin B12 def., I believe this may be my problem. I have so many of the symptoms. I have the white spots that suddenly appeared on my body, always fatigued, burning, itching and pain in legs and some numbness every now and then. I get this coldness that goes through my body. I also have this burning sensation on the side of my breast. My elbow hurts like crazy, and I also experience tingling.

Hi There!
There are many people with B12 deficiencies, some caused by medications, some caused by bowel problems or diet, but if you are suspicious of any nutrient deficiency I suggest you have some lab tests done.

A CBC with a differential can alert your doctor of potential problems but only a methylmalonic test or MMA can specifically diagnose a B12 deficiency. Treating for B12 deficiency based on a CBC can allow a co-existing folic acid to continue undiscovered. If there are thyroid problems in your family you may wish to get tested for a healthy thyroid.

The burning and itching with pain in your legs sound like a type of neuropathy common in people with blood sugar problems or nutritional deficiencies like B12.

No need to continue to feel crappy, why don't you go get some blood tests done and see if your quality of life can be improved? I wish you the best of luck. Regards, Kathryn Shattler, MS,RDN
