I am 12 weeks pregnant. Occasionally, I do hear my heart pumping hard and fast as if I have heart attack. It started during my 10th week pregnancy. Is it normal? I was on duphaston for a few weeks which i have stopped now and my blood pressure was low during my last check up.
Hey thanks for your faith in the health care Magic I have gone through your question and I understood your problem. Palpitations in pregnancy can be caused by increased blood volume and strain on the heart, hormones, stress, or heart conditions. They are not uncommon and do not necessarily indicate a sign of disease, but it is advisable to receive a medical evaluation to check for potential problems. Also you said you were on Dupahston. Since progesterone makes the heart work harder, it increases the error rate of the heartbeat, leading to occasional palpitations. So I will suggest you to consult with your obstetrician as soon as possible. I hope my answer was helpful for you . Thank you. DR . RAKESH HASABE
