What Causes Faster Heart Beat During Pregnancy?

I have been experiencing rapid heartbeat, most times over 100bpm. I am 19 weeks pregnant and experienced this with my first pregnancy as well. It was determined I had tachycardia but that there was nothing they could do to help because I was pregnant. Is this worth bringing up again with my obstetrician?

Hi
Dr. Purushottam welcomes you to HCM virtual clinic!
Thanks for consulting at my virtual clinic. I have carefully gone through your case, and I think I have understood your concern. I will try to address your medical concerns and would suggest you the best of the available treatment options.
Firstly do not panic. In most women rise in heart beats is seen during pregnancy.
It is physiological. It can be due to increased volume of blood in pregnancy, which heart has to pump out . If your routine is disturbed due to it you can get 2 D echo cardiography done, but usually it shows normal.
I will suggest you practice meditation, yoga and keep calm; listen to music and it will help you.
I hope my answer helps you.
Thanks.
