What Causes False Positive Pregnancy Test Result After Treatment Of Vaginal Infection?

I had a vaginal infection,used some antibiotics before detecting it was a vaginal yeast infection then I used fluconazole and am getting better,just this morning I did a pregnancy test cause I realise I feel heavy when I wake up the test result was positive,can it be due to the drug or something

Usually if done properly and if urine is not to much diluted than urine card test gives accurate result about hcg present or not...

Here you are suspecting false positive result so yes in infection as you have there might chance of bleeding and hence if blood or protein like substance present in urine than card might false positive

Your drug history should be taken in detail esp. If using anticonvulsant like drug than false positive results can occur...

It is better for you to repeat test or do blood hcg detection and ultrasonography for rule out conception

You can consult gynecologist for examination and further work up
