What Causes Fainting?

Hi, My name is Kristin and I am very worried about my 81 year old grandmother. She got rushed to the hospital today from passing out. This is the 3rd time in the past 2 years. Her blood pressure is now 105/55. The ct scan came back ok and so did the chest x-ray. Can you maybe lead me in the right direction of what can be the cause of this?

There are many causes of fainting or passing out. She needs to see a cardiologist to make sure that it is not being caused by her heart. Also her blood pressure is pretty low so if she is on blood pressure medicine perhaps the dose could be lowered. Also it is important that she drinks plenty of water and eats regularly. Have her follow up with her doctor and get a referral to see a cardiologist. Good luck.
