What Causes Fainting And Elevated Body Temperature?

My mother fainted after feeling overheated. Not a year out of chemo for ovarian cancer. Has a very large hernia being scheduled for repair. She was having diarrhea today and felt nauseous but didn’t vomit. She looks pale and hurt her ankle but isn’t reporting other symptoms

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The symptoms seem to be related to a gastroenteritis. Some advice that I can give to you are:

- Take over the counter medication for diarrhea like Imodium
- Take probiotics
- Drink liquids
- Take acetaminophen for the fever

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi
