What Causes Facial Redness Along With Itching Around The Mouth?

Hi
I am using tenovate gn for years now on my face and whole body . Basically dry skin since child hood. Recently when I stopped using it, all of a sudden my face becomes dark,i feel very uncomfortable especially form my face . Started redness, itchy around mouth area and swelling of eyes. Could you please suggest an alternative cream to avoid these rashness or a good moisturising cream for daily use instead of these steroids. I tried changing few moisturizers in between but nothing works for me.
Please help.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that you have got severe withdrawal side effects of tenovate that is a Steroid based cream and long term use of Steroid based cream causes Steroid Dependence and once the use is stopped the skin suffers withdraw effects and the symptoms of re dness, itching and swollen eyes seems to be due to it..
I would suggest you to consult a Dermatologist and get evaluated and he can advise you a tapering method of Steroid withdrawal and it will help in prevention of side effects..
As of now you can take anti allergics like Levocetrizine to reduce swelling and itching..
Do cool compresses over face..
You can also be advised nourishing lotion containing Vitamin E, licorice extract etc..
A gel based sunscreen lotion can be advised..
