What Causes Facial Pain Around The Right Eye And Temple Radiating To Scalp?

I have unexplained facial pain, usually around right eye, temple and up into the scalp. CT scan 3 years showed no trigeminal neuralgia. Pain started about 8 yeasts ago. Sometimes it is on both sides, not usually. Lately, I ve noticed sharp pains in my right eyeball and a bubbling feeling all around the eye during the pain episode. Ophthalmologist exam found nothing.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* Sharp pains around right eye and temple can be part of Takayasu arteritis or other autoimmune-related disorder hampering the arterial pressures in certain retinal or facial arteries causing such agony.

In my clinic, I do recommend a detailed neurologic examination for the precise evaluation and complete guidelines of management protocols.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
