What Causes Facial Acne Inspite Of Using Deriva Gel?

Doctor, I am feeling problem with pimples on my face. Doctor adviced me to use deriva c gel with baby soap. I am using deriva c since one month. Still I could not see any good results. Because lots of pimples on my face and redness, but no dryness. Is it side effect or normal? What i do for it?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns...

As per your complain Deriva C gel contains 0.1% Adapelene and Clindamycin is an effective anti-acne composition.
In case of severe Inflammation and extensive pimples it can take a longer time to resolve and you should continue applying.
There seems to be no side effects and all symptoms are due to inflammation..
You should also wash your face with Salicylic acid containing face wash..
Apply Benzoyl Peroxide gel over the pimples..
Do cold compresses..
Exfoliate your skin twice a week using a gentle scrub..
Avoid sun exposure, do not take oily food.
Drink plenty of water and take Multivitamin supplements..

You can also consult a Dermatologist and he can advise you to take Oral antibiotics like Clindamycin or Minocycline or Muricoprin and Oral retinoids..
You can also go for Glycolic acid peels and Microdermabrasion for faster clearing of pimples..
