What Causes Facial Acne In A Patient Of NHL?

I am in PA school and am working on a Case presentation and Management Plan for a 33 y.o. Af. Am. female that I saw in the hospital for a recent site visit. She had been admitted for a raised, painful left mediastinal lesion. She was later diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. On PE, I did note facial acne which she said was new onset. Everything I had found online re: NHL and acne refers to acne 2ยบ chemo or radiation or steroid tx but nothing related to presentation at onset. Is this acne a significant finding that would lead to dx of NHL?

hello, what is not clear from your details is the site and stage of NHL. Lesions similar to acne can be present if cutaneous involvement is there. Else Because of the lowered immunity she might be getting oppurtunistic infections of skins.
