What Causes Eye Pain With Breathing Issues And Dry Throat?

I am experiencing burning, light sensitive and painful eyes. This comes and goes day or night. A dry throat that gets worse if I talk. My voice will go horse, and I have to inhale deeply to get air into my lungs. I teach fitness classes and have a hard time catching my breath. The eye issue started over a year ago, and the dry throat about 7 months ago.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Thank you for trusting HCM

Dry eyes and dry mouth is concerning for possible Sjogren's syndrome, which is an autoimmune disorder where salivary and lacrimation glands are affected.
Schirmers test to assess dry eyes, ESR and blood antibody levels can confirm the diagnosis. Management is with oral corticosteroids.

Hope this answers your question
