What Causes Eye Floaters And Sleeplessness After Taking Mucinex?

I am getting over a flu and upper respritory infetion and my doctor prescribed mucinex which I took at 3:00 this afternoon. I am unable now to sleep and when I close my eyes I see flashes of light and racing thoughts. I really need to sleep so what can I do to counteract this?

Thanks for asking at Healthcare Magic. I read your question and I understand your concern.
Mucinex doesn't cause insomnia, rather its the underlying infection that has created the issue.
I would like to advise to take plenty of water to excrete drug from your body and take some antiallergic like cetrizine.
Hope I th helps best.
