What Causes Extremely Dry Palms And Brittle Nails?
my neurologist thinks I may have multiple sclerosis. The palms of my hands have become "extremely" dry and my nails are now "very" brittle. I keep my hands moisterized with the best creams and no improvement. Are these also signs of MS or something. I'm a 59 year old female living in SouthCarolina.

In my opinion you should not think about multiple sclerosis.I would advise
1- get blood for Hb exam.
2-blood for vitamin B 12
3- Blood for vitamin d3
4- blood for thyroid-T3,T4,TSH
But in india we go economical.I just advise to take B complex and continue to apply moisturizer
