What Causes Extreme Tiredness And Fibromyalgia?

Hi! I am extremely tired. I am on cymbalta 60 mg. and I have noticed ever since the increase from 30 mg to 60 mg to manage my fibromyalgia, I am just so tired, I can't stay awake. The only other med I am on is synthroid 100 meg and I just had blood work 2 weeks ago and everything was fine. I am at odds as to what is wrong. Please advise.

Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries

I can understand your concern. If the tiredness started to occur immediately after increasing the dose of Duloxetine to 60 mg then high doses of Duloxetine could be the reason for your symptoms. But in most cases symptoms after dose increase last for less than a week only. Your all blood workup is normal so no need to worry. Possible cause for your persistent symptoms is fibromyalgia only. In such case concomitant use of other medicines to supplement Duloxetine can help to reduce the tiredness.

Pregabalin or Gabapentin can help to reduce the pain and tiredness due to fibromyalgia. Please consult your psychiatrist for proper re-evaluation and prescription of these drugs.
