What Causes Extreme Tiredness And Excessive Thirst?

I m an athlete and compete to a high level in Triathlon and long distance running events. Recently, I ve found myself extremely tired even going for a very short jog! I m thirsty all of the time, feel drained and my throat is rough as if i m dehydrated after a four day multi activity event, but this time doing nothing?

The symptoms you have mentioned are typical to diabetes. So it would be a good idea to check your sugars. Similar problems occur with thyroid disorder, so checking TSH, FT3, FT4 would be a good idea as well.

You may say that as athlete, you should not get diabetes. Sometimes, diabetes is caused by infections and autoimmune processes. So diabetes is a possibility.

I would suggest the above tests. Let us know the reports. These are not the only causes, just the most common causes. We can discuss further after reports.

Well come to HCM
If the throat is hurting then allergic condition may be the reason for this, in my opinion, hemoglobin need to be tested, because low hemoglobin would be one of the reason, these both the condition need to be found, and would be managed accordingly, hope this information helps.
