What Causes Extreme Pain On The Tip Of The Tongue And Pain In The Gums While Taking Meth?

I have been recently been using meth. I was clean for 20 years, and started again last fall. The last two times I came down I noticed extreme pain on the tip of my tongue and pain in my gums. It takes a number of days to clear up and I cannot eat anything. Due you know how to counteract this problem and is it a ph balance problem or what. I am going to n.a. meetings and trying very hard to quit. Please, please help.

Hi,

The first thing you must try to do is to stay off meth. It is highly addictive and each successive use increases your risk of becoming fully dependent on it again. The pain will gradually go away if you remain abstinent but you must try to take a nutritious diet rich in B complex vitamins. Any deficiency of B complex vitamins will hamper the healing process and promote development of meth sores.

Best wishes.
