What Causes Extreme Depression, Forgetfulness, Bad Headaches And Stupefied Behavior?

Hello, my husband had a c6, c7 bone fusion surgery in 2013 and is now feeling extreme depression, forgetfulness, bad headaches, always seems somewhere else as in far away. No longer happy, change in his demeanor, causing problems in our relationship. If so, what can be done to make it better.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, it can be due to associated morbidity that can trigger anxiety and stress which can affect psychological state of a person. I suggest alongside neurosurgical management a psychiatrist review or sessions with a motivational psychologist and pharmacological treatment of stress as well as behaviour modification therapies may be helpful.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
