What Causes Excessive Yawning Post An Endoscopy Procedure?

I had a endoscopy/colonoscopy yesterday and today I feel like I need to yawn all the time, but I start to yawn but never have that satisfied feeling. It s like I can t finish the yawn. Is it just an anxiety attack? It s driving me crazy and wondering if I should go to the er

No it is not an anxiety attack. Usually prior to an upper or lower G.I endoscopy, a sedative is given to help the patient relax. This could be causing your yawning. It will resolve itself in a 8 to 12 hours.
