What Causes Excessive Weight Gain And Abdominal Distention?

I am a 45 yr young female. I used to be very active, however in the last 9 months I have went from 156 pounds ( I am 5 foot 3 inches) to 236 pounds. My stomach looks as if I am nine months pregnant. I have seen two doctors and they both try to tell me it s over eating? Not so, I don t have time to eat, let alone did my diet change in the last year. I am in pain more then not. Stomach aches and I have reflux so bad that they prescribed Prilosec 20mgs to take three times a day. My blood pressure is sometimes high. I have asthma they claim after not having it my entire life? They have me on Qvar for that? Could someone give me some insight? Just as a thought, Stomach cancers runs in my family. Could these be signs

Hello,

Unexplained weight gain may be because of hormonal changes also. Consult an endocrinologist and have the tests like complete thyroid profile, cortisol levels etcetera. Usually, hypothyroidism pts exhibit dryness of skin, coldness, easy fatigue etcetera. My suggestion is to consult endocrinologist or else the general physician.
