What Causes Excessive Weight Gain After Receiving Cortisone Injection?
Age 64-had a Cortisone Injection Feb.6th in my hip for bursitis. Gained 5 lbs and cannot get it off. Felt the added weight was straining my hip so I joined Jenny Craig to lose the gained 5 plus 5 old pounds- It will not come off! Also having calf and leg cramps. I now know it is from the shot. When can I expect the side effect to leave? Should I go on the Jenny Craig diabetic diet instead? The weight counselor thought that would help?

one cortisone injection you taken before ??long time use of cortisone/steroid can cause weight gain or other side effect.
if you take only shot of cortisone its very unusual to gain weight for that.
Follow weight reducing diet and exercise if you want to loss weight.
