What Causes Excessive Weight Gain After Decreasing Levothyroxine Dosage?

I am taking L-Thyroxine for about 4 month now ,I have noted some weight gain,I was taking L-Thyroxine .88 for 22 years and I don t think had that problem .My para thyroid is little high so was changed to .75. Had a goiter removed 1994.Dontike the weight gain other than that no problem.

Weight gain on lowering the dose of levothyroxine is suggestive that the dose is not adequate. Please be advised to follow up with your treating physician to increase the dose of Levothyroxine.
