My daughter is 15 years old.suddenly for the last one week she has started feeling very thirsty at night.she drinks 4-5 glasses of water everynight and freguently goes to toilet then. Before she never felt thirsty at night. We went to GP for sugar check up but it is normal.we r still worried why she has suddenly start feeling so much thirsty? Please help me with this .Thank you

hello,thank you for the consultation,there are two most common cause for excessive thirst-diabetes and dehydration.here according to your history she does not have diabetes.As there is no other complain except thirst so it might be because of some amount of dehydration.so i will advice you to give her water or whatever fluids she like to take.no problem in giving more liquid.no need to worry much.good luck.
