What Causes Excessive Sweating?

hi my name is emmet and i have a problem with sweating i have gone to my local gp and had my bloods taking for maybe an overactive thyroid but results came back and i was all clear he couldent tell really what i could do maybe use botox which i would rather not is there anything i could do

Increased sweating can be seen in normal people and can also be seen in some serious conditions as well .Common causes of increased sweating are as follows:
1. menopause
2.hypoglycemia
3. infections like T.B./HIV
4. Certain medicines like anti depressants, propranolol, bethanechol, pilocarpine.
5. pregnancy
6.Lymphoma /malignancy
7. primary hyperhidrosis
8. thyroid issues
Following treatment options are available for such sweating issues:
1. If any infection is the cause then treating that infection will resolve the issue.
2. anticholinergic drugs like propantheline bromide significantly helps.
3. lifestyle changes:
-use antiperspirants
-avoid tight clothing and black color cloths when going out.
- Avoid trigger like alcohol or spicy foods .
4. Consult dermatologist and ask about iontophoresis
5. treatment of anxiety is crucial if the cause if anxiety.
Cases which are refractory to above treatments can go for surgical procedures like :
1.destroying of sweat glands
2, endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy
