What Causes Excessive Sweating In Children When Suffering From High Temperature?

Hi.
My 6 year old son began feeling generally unwell 4days ago. He started complaining on the first day of sore legs which I told him was growing pains. Second day he had his head to the side and said it was sore to move and he felt a bit warm. Third day neck was still sore and over to side and temperature was up and down. Today he seemed generally well and was playing with toys then this evening his temperature was a bit high, he was sleeping (with no night wear on, just under wear) and I heard very loud snoring. I went to his room hos body is now very cold and the bed was soaking with sweat. Any advice

Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.
I can understand your concern.

You need to consult your doctor for a physical examination. Further investigations may be needed to identify the cause of that neck pain and the fever he is having. What other complaints he is having?
Is there any history of cough or cold?
Does your child have burning urination and frequency of urination?
Does his throat hurt while swallowing?
Please reply in detail so that we can answer your query better.

Hope this helps.
Take care.
