General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
Thank You for contacting HCM.

There could be a number of causes for this. Did the symptoms start after taking melatonin?? I would like to know answer of following questions to be able to guide you better:

1. Since when are you having these symptoms?
2. Is there history of low grade fever?
3. Have you observed weight loss recently?
4. Is there anyone in family with chronic illness & cough?
5. Is there any history of cough?
6. Do you or anyone in family has diabetes or hypertension?

In the meanwhile i would suggest you not to take excess melatonin as it is a hormone and may harm your body.

Wishing you good health.
