What Causes Excessive Sweating And Unsteadiness While On Prednisone For Giant Cell Arteritis?

I am on prednisone for the likelihood of a giant cell arteritis diagnosis but I just got results back that my white blood cell count is high and I am shaking I have been sweating and I am very unsteady on my feet and my arms and hands are very shaky. esr is 37 now was 79 two weeks ago. Do I get my butt to outpatients? I forgot about the step of payment required for answers from you guys. Silly me. I guess that s my answer anyway I just go to outpatients as when I tried to lay down as its 5:21 in the morning and I haven t slept yet I shook too on top of feeling shaky and awful already. This has been going on for days anyway and I have lost a day at work as it is.

Hello,

High ESR is the hallmark of giant cell arthritis but a high-WBC counts points towards a infection. You should get that checked.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Harshita
