What Causes Excessive Saliva Production In Mouth Causing Severe Cough?

Hey! I am a 31 yo Healthy male 198lbs about 7%body fat. I think my salivary glands are producing too much saliva. Which in turn makes me cough up the constant flow of spit. This comes and goes. But is a problem more often than not. About 60% of the week. Sometimes the cough and spit is gone for a week then back again. Dairy and cretin foods do tend to make it worse, but have never had this problem before, which makes me curious. This has been going on for about 13-14 months now. I have blood work done every 6 months for my hormones and they check a bunch of other stuff to and everything but creatine kinase comes back normal. The CK is over double the norm, but they link that to my training.(Have been power lifting since I was 14 Still given er, Haha) The only thing different now is that I am on TRT Injections 150mg per week of test e. and Have been supplementing with creatine monohydrate. No other drugs, or supplements. What are your thoughts. Thank you for your time!!

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of excessive salivation and hence causing more coughing.
I would advise you the following:
- Stop dairy and such foods and beverages which increase your problems.
- Consult an ENT or Oral surgeon for clinical evaluation and examination as there is a possibility of some focus of infection in the oral cavity,
- Evaluation of Psychological problems like stress and anxiety as these directly affect the salivation and such habits.
- A course of proper antibiotic may help to resolves any inflammation or infection causing the symptoms you have.
- Once you know the reason, avoid all such factors that is causing the problems that you have and you will be fine for ever.
