Hi,thanks for selecting our forum. The hair that the newborn has got on her body is called lanugo hair. It will shed off as she grows older. So don't worry about the cosmetic aspect of having the temporary lanugo hair. With regards to the eye color, it is usually the color of the iris you see through the transparent cornea. It can be in any color depending on the genetics, race and ethnicity also. It can also change shades as children grow. Don't you worry regarding this also. But just take an ophthalmologist consult just to make sure that we are dealing only with the iris pigmentation here and nothing like a corneal opacity or something. I feel that you are just encountering normal physiological conditions in your newborn. Regards,Dr.Pravin Asir.
