Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

My understanding is that intermittent explosive disorder and complex migraines are separate conditions. The only connection of which I am aware is that emotional stress is a common trigger for complex migraines and tension or pressure in the patient's head increases before an episode of intermittent explosive disorder occurs. The stakes are high and I want you to be successful with your patient.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
