What Causes Excess Urination With A Swollen Spleen?
Hi, I have had mono about 5 or 6 months ago. Today my spleen has been swollen all day, and now I m not able to stop having to go pee.. At first I thought it was mono symptoms again but I read online that you don t get symptoms usually that far after having it. any idea what it could be?

Dear- thanks for using our service . Mononucleosis is a systemic viral infection that can give you enlargement of the spleen and general malaise. Urinary frequency can be secondary to concomitant urinary tract infection or just due to the increase in water or fluid intake due to dry mouth. Mono does not affect the bladder, mostly liver and spleen. I advise you to get a sample of the urine for culture.
