What Causes Excess Dehydration And Fatigue While On Effexor And Prilosec?

I have been drinking water all day. I hit 8 16oz cups by noon. As soon as I stop drinking I get dehydrated and light headed even if I have only set my cup down for a minute. I was just trying to do the dishes and my mouth and throat dried up completely. I couldn t talk and breathing was difficult. I could just stand and wheeze until my husband got me water and helped me to the couch. I m in poor health in general but these symptoms don t match up with anything I ve been diagnosed with. I ve recently had a cat scan, several ekgs, and a pulmonary function test and they all came back normal. The only prescription medicines I am taking every day is generic Effexor and generic Prilosec.

Fatigue is a common symptom of dehydration . Dry mouth and fatigue can be a possible side effect of Effexor and you should inform your healthcare providers about it . Other conditions which can cause similar manifestations include :
1. diabetes
2. kidney problems
3. liver problems
4. heart problems
5. electrolyte imbalance

I would recommend you to consult with your Healthcare providers and discuss about your present medications and get tested for mentioned conditions as well.
