What Causes Esophageal Dysphagia?

I am a healthy 37 year old who has recently been having the sensation of something being stuck in my throat. I have has tonsil stones, but this feels different. It is lower down in the throat where I can't see. I also have the sensation of being hungry and can never get full. Have had these symptoms for about 10 days now. I am terrified this is cancer! Hello

thank you for trusting HCM

Dear nothing to worry about it there's is less likely to be a cancer.

It may be due to acid reflux or esophagitis or achalasia cardia etc...

Hiatus hernia may cause aggravation if GERD may cause above problems. Rarely diffuse esophageal spasm may cause pain and dysphagia.

Avoid Spicy food and alcohol, Avoid smoking.

Use tablets pantaprazol before breakfast for one week. If symptoms not improved please consult your physician he will do investigation's (barium swallow , upper GI scopy, 24 hours pH monitoring, lower end of sphincter pressure monitoring) and treat you accordingly.

Take care.
