What Causes Erectile Dysfunction?

Had L5 S1 fusion two years ago prior only had Lota of pain and troubke walking, now 2 years after surgury no much pain only weaknwss in left leg. 2 weeks ago got sudden loss of erection and have not been able to get erection since is this due to my back would it just happen now like this suddenly overnight or is their something else that is the culprit of the erectile dysfunction. I had no issues before or after surgery with erections
