What Causes Endometrial Polyps And Is It Cancerous?

I m 27 years old, 5 2 , around 110 lbs. I had an ultrasound which showed 2 endometrial polyps. It said that feeding channels were appreciated. One polyp is posterior, the other is fungal. What does this mean? Is this dangerous? Is it possibly cancer? What should I do? I am a virgin and have never had intercourse.

Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
I think you mean that one polyp is posterior, that is in the rear portion of the uterus.
ANd the other word you are looking for is fundal, not fungal.
Fundal means in the top ( upper ) part of the uterine cavity.
Possibility of cancer is next to nil.
Polyps are just over growths of the lining of the uterus.
THey need to be removed and sent for biopsy.
Take care and dont worry.
