first, liver enzyme elevations have to be put into context. Slight elevations only slightly over the lab normal values are not very much of a problem. Then, there are different patterns. There are different patterns from if the liver outflow is bad or if the cells are damaged. The bilirubin is elevated if outflow is affected. The liver cellular enzymes are elevated if it is liver cell death. You seem to be descrbing a situaiton n which only the liver cellular enzymes are elevated. This would be liver cell death BUT if it is only slight elevation it is only slight liver cel death. Any alcohol intake will cause some liver death. this can be bad over many years and cane lead to a non-functioning liver that is replaced by scar. This is not liklely.

Then there are the gastric problems. Those could be signs of liver injury/liver sickness. A biopsy or a simple ultrasound could show quite a lot .. starting with how much liver versus how much scar.
