What Causes Elevated Creatinine Levels?

Hi this is Preethi G, Creatinine is increasing rapidly. I had 2 miscarriages one in Feb 2017 and another in Jan 2018. I had continuous urine infection from last year. After taking medicine it will go but comes again. In November 2017 it was 1.54, Recently checked again For one week creatinine raised from 1.8 to 1.94 and then next week it is 2. Now I m having creatinine of 2. Biopsy was done last week and shows glomerular normal. There is moderate tubular injury. What is the cause for creatinine increase?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You have chronic kidney disease. Need to do more investigations to find or the exact cause. Meanwhile avoid painkillers and tell doctors you have CKD before they prescribed you medicine.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Achira Dilanka
