What Causes Elevated Creatinine Levels?

Hi, My Creatine levels are elevated to just above the normal range. I have had lower back pain for many years but I also have had intermittent right side flank pain ( I think after taking NSAID s such as Cerebrex. Blood glucose is slightly high (6?) Should I have a full kidney function test? Thanks

General Surgeon 's  Response
Yes. Please have an Ultrasound of the abdomen and a Doppler of your Renal vessels. Also, blood tests to check your Urea, Creatinine and Potassium. With these see your GP or a Physician who can advice the best course if anything is abnormal. You can also upload the test reports to us for further advice. For that you will have to ask a Specialist question. Also keep a watch on how much urine you are passing. The total amount should not decrease. That would be a bad sign.
Take care,
Dr Rishi, New Delhi, India.
