What Causes Elevated Blood Pressure Levels?

I normally have low blood pressure. About 1 1/2 months now, i get really hot all at once. I started taking my blood pressure when this happens and it is elevated. My veins in my hands and arms stick out quite large. The last spike in blood pressure showed my pulse to be 86. Is this a heart related problem?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The pulse rate is in the normal range which is 60 to 100 bpm.Normal blood pressure for your age is less than 150/90, it was changed recently.

If your pressure is normally low however, this value may be high for you.

When a person is hot,the veins become dilated, it is part of the body's response and does not mean that you have a heart related disease but you should be assessed to find the cause of your symptoms.

I hope this helps
