What Causes Elevated Blood Pressure Levels?

I am a 65 year old male. my BP today is 106/66. It has been running low the last 3 days. previous to that it was around130/85 sometimes higher. I stopped taking one of my HP pills about 2 months ago since my BP was running low. I also take metformin but my diabetes is controlled. It s been hot lately, and have been working in the yard. I walk about 10,000 steps daily but just recently I am feeling fatigued Is my BP too low (yesterday at 1 point it read 98/66)

Hello
Thank you for trusting HCM
What antihypertendive you are talking not mentioned.

Up to 90/60blood pressure OK

Possibility of fluctuations in blood pressure
1. Your working in outside possibility of dehydration and electrolytes loss hypotension.
2.diabetic autonomic neuropathy
3 . possibility of episodic arrhythmias
4.infection septisemia
5.assosiated anemia
6.adrenergic failure etc...

Reduced arterial compliance in patients with diabetes mellitus has been shown in several studies, but it has not been significantly associated with either atherosclerosis or vessel wall thickness. Blood pressure variability is still poorly explored in diabetic patients.

Systolic, diastolic, and mean arterial blood pressure variability was significantly higher during daytime but not night time in diabetic patients compared to controls. Diabetic patients also had significantly reduced small artery compliance, but no differences in large artery compliance, cardiac output, or systemic vascular resistance. The findings suggest that hyperglycemia may affect the compliance of the vascular system, resulting in high blood pressure fluctuations.

Please consult your doctor he may advice right medication for you
