What Causes Elevated Blood Pressure Level After An Accident?

I am on lisinopril 2.5 mg per day since I was in a car accident. I have never had High blood pressure before the accident. I am no almost always 90 / 60 average. I do not believe I should be taking this medication. What caused my blood pressure to elevate seems to have abated. What is your opinion.

Hello, Thanks for the query.
If you have been prescribed Lisinoopril 2.5 mg, then it msut be for having high blood pressure. If the pressure were 90/60 mm Hg, no one would ask you to take such a medication. Most often a drug Lisinopril is given when BP is over 140/90 mm Hg. At any age pressure above that level has to be treated. Since you have not mentioned the current BP reading, it really difficult to give an opinion. But if your BP constantly remains <130 -140/70 to 90 mm Hg, then there is no need for an anti-hypertensive drug. Thanks.
