What Causes Elevated Blood Pressure And Irregular Heart Beats?
Hi my name is Patti. I just check my blood pressure this morning it was 106/65 just now it was 126/66. I have an irregular heart beat so my family doctor put me on blood pressure meds a low dose. Been on it since July. The bottom number on my blood pressure seems to be low should this be a concern?
I read your message and understood your medical problem.
Hypertension drugs tend to lower the diastolic blood pressure as well. Although you take low dosages of antihypertensive drugs you maybe need to discuss with your doctor the possibility to change the dosage or to substitute them with other drugs if your diastolic blood pressure tends to get lower over the time.
You can manage your hypertension with a healthy diet, exercise and by losing weight.
Diastolic blood pressure of 65-66 is considered quite normal. It is considered low only when it is less than 60. So you do not have low diastolic blood pressure. You are doing great with your hypertension.
Hope this is helpful for you.
