What Causes Elevated Blood Pressure After Taking Losar And Stamlo?

Hi, I am 45, taking Losar 50 and Stamlo 5 for BP for a few years. Suddenly for the last three days, my BP during afternoon touched 180/100. But my BP in morning & evening remains in the range of 130/84 or 120/90. Also taking Metformin for the last one year. Worried about the rise in BP during the afternoon.

Hi, I'm dr anto.

Thank you for submitting your question.

Having two anti-hypertension is pretty good, with losar 50 and stamlo 5, its a good combination already. However if it has touched the 180/100 it can be classified as hypertension urgency and need some medical treatment. the anti-hypertension you are having can be adjusted with the local doctor or cardiologist around. Make sure that you did the BP on the afternoon after you rest from any exercises for at least 15-30minutes, because if its not, then the 180/100 is not valid.
